2025 Exam Results

Students at Darton Academy are celebrating their best every GCSE results, with outcomes again well above national and regional averages – 64% of students achieved a grade 5 or higher in both English and maths. Students have attained well above the national and regional averages in both maths and English, with 33 students achieving a grade 9 in English and 16 students achieving the top grade in maths! It’s amazing that 28% of all students’ results are a grade 7 or above. Darton students have continued to achieve above average attainment, building significantly on last year’s outcomes. We are proud that 81% of the cohort achieve a grade 4+ and 71% achieved a grade 5+ in maths. In English, results were equally impressive with 87% achieving grade 4+ and 76% grade 5+. Ebacc performance remains strong, with some stand out results in History where 12 students have achieved a grade 9; 8% more students achieved grade 5+ in Geography compared to last year; additionally, our linguists have performed exceptionally well with a 100% pass rate in French and a 16% increase in the students who achieved grade 5 or better in Spanish compared to last year. We could not be prouder of our students and teaching staff. Well done to the cohort of 2025!
