Year 8 Pledges
We are excited to introduce our Pledges initiative to this year’s Year 8 students. This programme provides a wonderful opportunity for students to engage in a variety of events and activities both inside and outside of our academy, earning Pledges as they go. There are 10 Pledges in total, each representing an aspect of cultural capital that we value dearly at Darton Academy. By completing these Pledges, students can qualify for a special rewards event at the end of the year. This system not only motivates students to achieve but also helps them contribute to the school’s ethos and their wider community whilst developing their confidence and understanding of the world they live in. Students will be introduced to the Pledges Rewards System through an assembly and a dedicated Tutor Time session. To further support their understanding and engagement, we will also have a lunchtime stall where students can ask questions and learn more about the goals and benefits of the Pledges.

Letters and correspondence
Pledges form
Below is the pledges form our students need to complete. Each pledge that the student completes should be witnessed by a member of staff. The staff member will then sign the form to confirm they have witnessed the pledge being completed. Alternatively, if it is a pledge that has been completed outside of school, the student will need to bring in to school a source of evidence, the pledges form may then be signed by a parent/carer, or the students form tutor/Miss Hart.
