Students are given the opportunity to explore the rich heritage and linguistic beauty of Latin, a highly organised and logical language. It is the foundation of many foreign languages, and it is rapidly being seen as a “superpower” subject. Latin can help expand a student’s English vocabulary and is a key element in Maths, Science, Medicine, and Law.   

Students involved in our grammar stream will have direct access to the Latin Excellence Programme and will be immersed in our culture of curiosity. The course is taught through fables and a focus on Roman civilisations. We bring student study to life through our enrichment offer and routinely participate in Latin conferences with other students accessing Latin across our trust. We are excited about our visit to Rome in February 2025 for our students currently completing their GCSE Latin studies.
